We are a group of small animal practices in North Devon, first established in 1996. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
Julie joined the Argyll team in 2006 after relocating from Berkhamsted in Hertforshire. Originally from Derbyshire where her career was in healthcare and pharmaceutical account sales, Julie is used to heading up a large customer service team. She has now joined the practice management team as co practice manager working alongside Hayley Kliem. Julie is a proud mum to her daughter who has graduated from York University with a degree in chemistry and in her spare time enjoys gardening with her husband, cooking and exercising her Border Terrier, Hunter – who we are sure our clients know very well!
Hayley Kliem RVN
Hayley first started at Argyll Vets in 1996 on work experience when Anne Breckenridge first acquired the business. Fast forward over 20 years and Hayley is now the practice manager of all three sites. She co-manages the practice manager role with Julie Hollies, and although she is a qualified veterinary nurse her main focus is on the day to day running of the business. Away from work Hayley loves spending time with her family enjoying the local walking areas.
Dawn works on reception at Roundswell, and has been there since summer 2011. You’ll probably meet Dawn if you have a new puppy as she also runs our puppy and social parties. She has many years of experience in dog training and is a qualified puppy trainer. If you have any questions or need advice regarding dog training she’s always happy to try and help. Dawn has several pets, and is totally devoted to her animals. Her favourite past time is taking her dog for long walks, together with her husband, where they enjoy exploring the beautiful North Devon coast and countryside.
Receptionist and Auxiliary Nurse
Sharon has been with the practice since 1999 and is a receptionist and auxiliary nurse. She enjoys her job as we are all like one big happy family and no two days are ever the same as you meet a wide variety of animals and their owners. Her main hobbies all involve horses. She tries to ride her own horse as much as possible.
Amy started working at Argyll Vets in April 2016 as a receptionist at our Roundswell surgery. She thoroughly enjoys her role especially meeting clients and giving treats and cuddles to their animals. Amy has lived in the area her whole life and has a Labradoodle called Milo who she enjoys walking along the beach and through the Devon countryside.
Jo joined our team in February 2018 and is really enjoying meeting and getting to know all the clients and their lovely pets who come through the door each and every day. In her spare time she really enjoys reading, art, music and going travelling to new and exciting places.
